​The trip to Scotland, July 2025, was a wonderful retirement celebration as well as an adventurous exploration into the heritage of our ancestors!  This is my second Kat-Lin tours adventure with my sister first to Ireland and now Scotland under our belts.  Both trips Katy was a wonderful tour planner and guide, planning everything from the moment you step out your door to your return.  She lays out the itinerary and then allows input for adjustment depending on any specifics anyone on the trip would like to see.  Scotland was amazing, relaxing, full of history, beautiful landscapes, authentic Scottish food and a visit to the Isle of Skye. We experienced the local pubs, people and even experienced the Highland Games which was amazing.  Katy goes out of her way to ensure all are taken care of from every aspect and have a wonderful experience, which I did and look forward to many more adventures with her.

There isn’t one bad word I can say about this Icelandic Winter Kate-Lin Tour. Iceland and seeing the Northern Lights has been on the top of my buck list for years and this trip it did not disappoint.

Our Iceland Ring 10-day tour was an incredible journey traveling 1300+ miles seeing the unique beauty of this mysterious land of “Fire and Ice”. Our “Icy Hot” travel group included 7 amazing women in which we all enjoyed each other’s company and exploring the waterfalls, glaciers, Icelandic horses, lagoons, volcano craters, waterfalls and black sand beaches.   It’s hard to say what was my favorite part of this journey because each day brought a new adventure. Discovering the Northern Icelandic areas off the beaten path was special where we stayed in small rural towns and hiked in freshly fallen snow, which was so light and fluffy, we just that to make snow angels.   The Golden Circle did not disappoint either where we visited all the great spots including the largest glacier, spouting geysers, waterfalls and learned more about the 30 active volcanoes.  But if I had to pick, the highlight of the trip would be seeing the Northern Lights and relaxing in the Lake Myvatn geo-thermal hot springs.   

Thank you, Katy, for such an extraordinary trip.  And thanks to our local tour guide Thor, who was fantastic with so much knowledge about Iceland’s history besides being so nice, the best driver in the snow and happy hour host!!

​Touring Scotland with Kate and a cast of fun ladies created many wonderful memories of that land. We started in Edinburgh, saw the highlights as we traveled to Inverness, including Loch Ness. The Highlands with the mountains, cliffs and Isle of Skye were beautiful; attending the Highland Games was frosting on the cake! We sang Loch Lomond and heard many versions of it on our way to Glasgow. What I like about traveling with Kate Lin Tours is having everything pre-arranged: transportation (including flight to and from), lodgings, special activities, great restaurants for dinner, getting into places more accommodating for small groups, and Kate is fun to travel with (I've been to Ireland, Iceland and Scotland). Definitely would recommend travel with Kate-Lin Tours. Our 10-day Scotland tour included historic castles and battlefields, a fairy glen, the beautiful highlands scenery, Oban Whisky Distillery, and much more! Personally, I enjoyed the Isle of Skye the most. The incredible views of the Lochs and rugged landscapes were picture perfect, especially with the quaint fishing villages in the foreground. Looking forward to our next adventure in Croatia!
