Attend the Bregenzer Festspiele music festival, which has taken place for more than 70 years and features operatic performances from a magnificent stage right on the water. Day 3 7/23 Lindau - Germany Take the cable car to top of mountain Phander, do a little hike and see the panoramic view of Lake Constance Day 4 7/24 train to SALZBURG A stop to visit Neuschwanstein Castle, the castle Walt Disney copied and where Wagner retreated PENSION OBERTUM AM SEE - 2 nights Explore the heart of the city of Salzburg Visit Mozart home Day 5 7/25 Salzburg Half Day tour of The Sound of Music or Cooking Class where you learn to make apple strudel & salzburger nockerl. Where the hills come alive...The tour starts at the LAKE OF CONSTANCE, a region where we will take a boat and a gentle hike in the Vorarlberg mountain, stopping to enjoy the hills and an authentic Austrian lunch with a view. You may even meet a few cows on the way... or dance in the fields of music.
Be amazed by the panoramic views over Lake Constance from the Pfänder (Bregenz) or Karren (Dornbirn) crossing 3 countries: Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Off we will go to Salzburg (For our Sound of Music fans!) the birthplace of the classical composer Mozart. Salzburg is one of the most renowned cities in Austria and Europe, and has possibly the best-preserved old town centre full of beautiful baroque architecture which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your stay in the wellness hotel in the heart of the Alps will be nothing short of relaxing. Take the free gondola lift up to the top to Diedamskopt Ski Area and see the fantastic views of the mountains and scenery during a short hike. A cheese tour is also on the menu!
