Imagine walking through the same rooms as kings and queens, admiring the art pieces they've collected over centuries, and feeling, for a moment, like part of the royalty. Explore the Prado Museum The main Spanish national art museum, located in central Madrid. It houses collections of European art, dating from the 12th century to the early 20th century. Day 4 - Seville Explore Seville Cathedral and Giralda Tower. Dinner in Santa Cruz Quarter Day 5 - Seville Guided tour to The Alcazar of Seville one of the “don't miss” stops in Seville for good reason. Its buildings and gardens are beautiful and full of history! An amazing fusion of Christian and moorish. See the Spanish steps of Seville, the overwhelming Plaza de España the most famous square in Seville. Several buildings were designed for the Ibero-American exhibition of 1929. Enjoy some flamenco dances exhibitions then stroll the gardens. Try Vermouth in siphon, the local drink with tapas: chorizo al inferno is my fav. Day 6 - Day trip to Cordoba Guided tour of Mezquita Catedral de Cordoba (Great Mosque), was built on an ancient roman temple. A mix of cultures and styles that blend together within one of the most important mosques of its times, later converted into a cathedral. A marvel of the city's past and present, it's the purest reflection of the splendor of Cordoba during the caliphate era of al-Andalus. Day 7 - Granada Train to Granada. Stroll through Albaicin Quarter en enjoy Alhambra views from Mirador de San Nicolas Day 8 - Granada Visit l'Alhambra.There are four visitable spaces: Alcazaba, Nasrid Palaces, Partal and Generalife. The order of the visit must be established taking into account the time of entrance for the Nasrid Palaces. Degustation of churros and chocolate Optional evening at arab Baths or tapas crawl Day 9 - Malaga Train to Malaga Visit Picasso Museum, The Alcazaba: A fortress built between 1057 and 1063 by the Muslims, one of the most visited and iconic monuments in Malaga. Enjoy the seaside promenade Day 10 - Gibraltar Day trip to Gilbratar British overseas territory occupying a narrow peninsula of Spain's southern Mediterranean coast. Be blown away by the cave tour and check out all the monkeys on the road. Day 11 - Depart from Malaga Time to go home! |
