Kate-Lin Tours hosted an amazing trip to Scotland! From the moment we arrived in Edinburgh, we were treated to an incredible adventure, staying in wonderful hotels, enjoying delicious food, visiting historic castles, and being chauffeured by our fabulous tour guide and native Scotsman, Kevin, who was full of great stories and folklore. We were thrilled to be in Edinburgh to experience an incredible 21 cannon salute with all the pomp and ceremony at Edinburgh Castle to celebrate the birthday of Consort Queen Camilla.
Upon leaving Edinburgh for a short overnight visit to the beautiful little Island of Skye, we passed the famous Loch Ness and we're sure we saw the infamous Loch Ness monster out in the water!
We also attended the Highland Games at Inveraray Castle. It was so fun to see the men and young boys dressed in their finest kilts, while competing in various games and bagpipe competitions. We then went on to an interesting tour of the family owned Cladich Cattle farm, where they breed those adorable Highland cows. They gave us a ride in a trailer pulled by a huge tractor to the top of a hill where the cows were grazing. We really enjoyed getting out among them, petting and brushing them. The babies are the cutest!
We spent our last day in Glasgow where we toured the city and were treated to a lovely "farewell dinner" hosted by Kate-Lin Tours - always a special traditional treat before departing for home the next morning. GO TO Morocco with Kate-Lin tours! Morocco is an exotic, yet safe and friendly country. We stayed in the ancient sections in the cities of Marrakesh and Fes, were dazzled by picturesque blue city of Chefchaoeun, experienced the spectacular natural wonders of the countryside, rode camels and stayed in luxurious tents in the Sahara, saw beautiful mosques, and enjoyed fantastic shopping in the colorful markets of Morocco.

I wanted to share a few experiences I enjoyed this past summer on a tour arranged by Katy Carey, owner/operator of Kate-Lin Tours. This tour was well-planned and very organized. We saw and experienced the two country’s beauty, culture and food. I saw some absolutely incredible things I had never seen before.
I didn’t need to concern myself with the details of this vacation. I just needed to board the plane and show up! (I did ask Katy for help picking my clothes, which she gladly obliged.) The tour was small, just 11 of us, and Katy was very helpful and good-natured, as well as professionally attending to all detail.
The tour of Germany and Austria was a fascinating trip. A van and car were arraigned to pick us up and take us to various cities and sites for us to experience. On this tour all transportation, including airfare, was included. Our daily breakfast was also included. The majority of excursions that we went on were also included. We also had “free time” where we could make our own decisions about what we wanted to do.
I recommend Katy Carey and Kate-Lin Tours to provide a very well-planned and excellent tour.

Kate of Kate-Lin Tours offers incredible tours, carefully planning every detail to ensure that everyone enjoys an amazing, stress-free experience. The Austria/Germany/Switzerland trip was truly incredible! Among our many adventures, we toured the historic Neuschwanstein Castle which inspired Walt Disney to build his iconic castle at Disneyland, rode a tram to the top of the Nordkette summit in the Alps where we did a little hiking and had delicious goulash soup for lunch, and we all enjoyed the front row seats at the Madame Butterfly opera performed on the lake at Lake Constance. We also took a tram to the top of Innsbruck to enjoy the view of the beautiful little city completely surrounded by snow covered Alps, had a delicious 3-course dinner hosted by the amazing Gundolf family along with their traditional Austrian Tyrolean folk music show, and visited the Swarovski Crystal Museum. We toured The Sound of Music where the movie was filmed, visited the Mozart home in Salzburg, had fun learning to make apple strudel and so much more! Our "farewell dinner" was absolutely fabulous at a little winery off the beaten path in Switzerland. Katy is passionate about making each tour an unforgettable, amazing adventure and she always succeeds! This was my second trip with Kate-Lin Tours and it was just as incredible as the first... I'm looking forward to my next one!

This is my 3rd trip with Katy Carey of Kate-Lin tours (one to Florence and one to Greece). Rome was probably my favorite! It was the largest group I travelled with, a group of 8 ladies. 5 of us went to Florence together, so it was special to travel to Italy again with them.
I love the stress-free travel with Katy! I literally show up at the airport and let her figure out the rest. We had many planned tours (2 a day on some days) and all the transportation was included. Since we had a larger group, we did have two emergencies, one involving a hospital, and one involving the US embassy for an emergency passport, and I had no idea of all the stress and turmoil that Katy had to go through until afterwards. She handled the emergencies swiftly and quietly, with the group oblivious to the stress. I enjoyed Rome, Pompei and Amalfi Coast. The food, the shopping, the museums and the sites were unforgettable. I’m already planning my next trip!!

I had a wonderful time on the tour with Katy Carey and six other women to Rome, Pompeii, and the Amalfi coast. I loved that we experienced the major attractions, such as the Roman forum and the Vatican, and that we also deepened our understanding of Rome through a fascinating walking tour focused on the artist Caravaggio and a through an excitingly close look at Rome on a tuttut bus excursion. The Pompeii tour was fascinating though it might have been better to leave to Pompeii from Sorrento rather than from Rome, but I enjoyed looking at the countryside on the bus trip. The Amalfi coast was fabulous and the highlight for me was riding the chairlift up to the top of the island of Capri. The hotels were all excellently situated, comfortable, and offered ample breakfasts. There were a few mishaps on the trip, such as a stolen passport and a small injury, but it was reassuring to know that Katy was there to handle these emergencies with speed and professionalism. We all made it home safely with wonderful memories and some interesting stories.

Well, she picked the perfect hotel for our stay in Rome, centrally located, it was close to shopping, food (excellent gelato just across the street), and, as is true in central Rome, statues within walking distance. Our guide to the Roman Forum and Colosseum was excellent, she quickly shepherded us to the Forum overlook, so we could see the views before it became too crowded, then guided us to the Colosseum, where she found places for all of us to gather - in relative quiet - to learn about the structure and history. The late afternoon tuk tuk ride was hilarious, made more so when we were inadvertently locked into the Tiber River overlook. We soon learned about the Jubileo in 2025, but despite all of the scaffolding, we still enjoyed the Trevi fountain, the Vatican museums (you honestly can never have enough time there, if you love museums like I do), and St. Peters. She booked us an afternoon walking mystery tour, and, being an art history buff, I loved it! We managed to squeeze in a daylong trip to Pompeii, which was made more interesting by a hike up a chilly (who knew) Mt. Vesuvius. On to Sorrento, an extremely walkable and friendly town. Talk about shopping! Yet again, she picked an excellent centrally located hotel, with great food and a wonderful staff. So lucky to have had excellent weather! My favorite activity on the Amalfi Coast was the visit to the lemon farm, I learned so much from our guide. Back to Rome, this time on the train, an experience in itself, and our final meal and gelato in Italy. Truthfully, I could have stayed another two days…

When we first planned this trip, my only expectation was to just relax, and let Katy worry about the details. I can honestly say I had a relaxing, enjoyable, stimlulating and unique vacation to Belize. I have been to eco toursism venues in the past, but Table Rock was truly special, great staff, fabulous site, I only wish we could have stayed one more day to enjoy just chilling with the howler monkeys.
And I thought I’ve experienced beach vacations, but San Pedro is truly special. From Secret Beach to fantastic restaurants and bars, literally on the beach and steps away from our room, and terrific water journeys to Hol Chan and San Pedro Lagoon, with it’s Iguana habitat at night, made this trip unforgettable.

I am writing this note regarding my trip to Belize in January 2023 with Kate-Lin Tours. The trip took us to the mainland of Belize and Ambergris Caye. Two different worlds but equally beautiful and interesting. On the mainland we stayed at Table Rock Lodge. In the middle of jungle that was intimate with the staff calling all of our tour group by a first names and the most beautiful lush surroundings of the jungle including waking to the sounds of Howler monkeys. Our accommodations were lovely with all the rooms having river stone showers and large screened windows to enjoy the jungle. The open air fine dining was so enjoyable with a wonderful chef. The options that were offered for excursions accommodated different interests within our group and different levels of adventure. Note to self- I wished I had done the excursion to the Mayan Ruins...next time. We took a small plane over to the island which was super fun seeing it all from the air. While on the island we stayed at Ramon's Village Resort. A beach front property with a beach front restaurant. landscaping at the resort was beautiful. The windy weather on the island with the warm winds made for a very tropical experience and added another layer to our vacay. Again there were options for excursions in the itinerary or you could just take a day to get lost on the beaches. Check out "Secret Beach"! Options for restaurants in San Pedro were excellent and enjoyed all. My favorite though was Carumba Restaurant and Bar with fresh fish to choose from. Only have been on 2 tours in my life, a large group and this small group of eleven. It was a great group of travellers and that made it special too. The tour plans went off without a hitch and very smooth which made it a great vacation as well as Katy who surprised our group with a beautiful super fun last night dining together, out on the beach with candles, gorgeous table, wonderful food and great company ( the wind made it even more special.) Wow, Katy, you nailed our vision of what we hoped our honeymoon would be and created an experience that any couple would kill to be able to go on. How to even begin to describe what you created for us? This exquisitely planned honeymoon was created for us by Kate-Lin Tours. Thank you so much, Katy. Traveling to Portugal and Belize was on our bucket list for years and this trip was not a disappointment. It was beyond our wildest dreams and planned to a tee. Our trip was wonderful. Once we arrived in Portugal all flights, and the car rental was planned out in detail. We visited everything we could and even went on a sailboat cruise. The three amazing hotels or bed and breakfasts that we stayed in were outstanding. The food was authentic, and the majestic scenery of Portugal was something that will be embraced by us for years. We would go back there again in a second. Katy made sure that we had every day planned out fully and options whether we experienced rain or sun. Portugal was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Then came Belize. It is a beautiful country filled with warm & friendly people. Our honeymoon had a perfect blend of fun, adventure, free time to relax, and amazing food. The staff was impeccable and made sure that we felt like we were home. We had a spa day, hiking near the waterfalls, moonlight dinner on the water, and a handful of incredible things to do every day. The room was exquisite and filled with all the perfection that a honeymoon could ask for. The views were indescribable, and the ambiance was breathtaking. Many people told me Cinque Terre was a special place. But I think what I loved most about this trip was the variety of experiences we had. Days in Florence to visit the Duomo, David, eat fabulous breakfasts with excellent cappucinos made by a sweet matron. Riding the train to the coast was absolutely fun. Suddenly finding out we had to ride a bus, seeing the countryside in a totally different way. Commuting to each of five different beach front towns on the train was stimulating, to say the least. Hiking, with a group of French senior citizens behind us, singing songs, to the Sanutario de Nostra Senora de Montenero. Making - and eating - pesto on a cliff in Manarola. Visiting Lucca, close enough to walk from our hotel to the walled center, to shop, eat, sharing our pastries with young men at the next table, and eating a superb meal on the street, with cars literally brushing our backs, all unforgettable experiences.

What was your favorite “WOW” moment?
The sights and sounds of the Belizean jungle especially in the morning when you hear the birds and monkeys come to life. The other WOW moment was the farewell dinner on the beach at Ramon’s Village on Ambergris Caye. Even though it was windy, it was a beautiful setting with the sharing of special times with new travel friends.

I went on vacation with Kate-lin Tours in September 2019. We went to Italy. And I must say it was the best vacation of my life! Katy is so organized and plans every detail of the trip. It’s like getting in the car with mom and dad when you’re a kid and everything is planned. You just show up. I give Kate-Lin Tours 10 stars! Take one of her vacations, you won’t regret it! It’s not a big group of people she takes so it’s personalized and intimate. I’ve seen those that have 20-30 people. Not like that at all. We had only 8 people. It was perfect.
